NOORVIK - OMISSION

Seit 2016 verbindet die Kölner Band NOORVIK sphärische Melodien mit harten Rhythmen. Dabei verschmilzt das Quartett dynamische Spannungsbögen mit progressiven Songstrukturen zu einem experimentellen Post-Rock. Benannt nach einer Stadt in Alaska, erschien 2018 das gleichnamige Debüt-Album, mit dem sich NOORVIK in der hiesigen Musiklandschaft bereits Gehör verschaffen konnten. Nach etlichen Live-Shows in Deutschland erscheint im Oktober 2019 ihr zweites Album ‘Omission' (Tonzonen Records), das NOORVIK im Rahmen einer Deutschland-Tour im Herbst 2019 präsentiert. Auf 'Omission' lotet die Band neue Extreme aus und arbeitet ihren eingeschlagenen Weg weiter aus, sodass in Zukunft wohl keine Post-Straße mehr an NOORVIK vorbei führen wird.

Since 2016 German instrumental quartet Noorvik combines spherical melodies with harsh rhythms. Noorvik melt dynamic arcs of suspense with progressive song structures to an experimental post-rock attitude. Named after a town in Alaska, the self titled debut album was released in 2018 and the band gained attention across the international music scene.

After several live shows in Germany, their second album Omission will be released on 4th October 2019 via Tonzonen Records, following a live tour to present the new album.

On Omission the band continues to explore new boundaries and refines its chosen path since the band's debut. In the future there will be no getting around that small Alaskan town, musically speaking.
